Hi, I’m Tony “Tonx” Konecny, a Los Angeles-based coffee roaster, coffee entrepreneur, coffee consumer advocate, and co-founder of YES PLZ Coffee, the world’s best coffee subscription service.

I’ve been working in coffee for more than 20 years, helped build pioneering coffee bars, and earned a few stripes in coffee’s Third Wave movement. I started Tonx Coffee, a beloved subscription coffee roaster, in 2011—which became part of Blue Bottle in 2014. Alongside Sumi Ali, I helped launch the notorious coffee program for Roy Choi and Daniel Patterson’s ambitious restaurant project LocoL, which led to Sumi and I founding YES PLZ in 2018.
